The Endless Moebius (Comic) Strip

Nope, I’m not talking about Moebius, the comic book artist, but there’s something funny I saw on the inter webs just today.

PJ Crook is an great artist who painted many King Crimson CD covers. She did the cover for one of my favourite album, The Power to Believe.

Imagine my surprise when I saw this:

Not only it has Superman featured, but the cover on top row center, portrays a cover I did with Tom Grummett. Now, I know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry, there’s no copyright infringement here. This is called appropriation and although I sometimes cringed about what some people do, this time I really like the results.

Both ends of the Moebius strip are joined when remembering that I was involved in doing a lot of artwork, including CD cover, for members of King Crimson. Such as this one by BPM&M (Pat Mastelotto and Bill Munyon) featuring King Crimson members Pat (second from left), Robert Fripp (center), and Tony Levin (far right).

Not to mention that Tony, Trey and Pat also contributed to our Specimen13 release.

Mind blown!

Cheers,
