Just a quick teaser video. In fact it is more like testing the animation possibilities of Adobe After Effects.
Nope, I’m not talking about Moebius, the comic book artist, but there’s something funny I saw on the inter webs just today.
PJ Crook is an great artist who painted many King Crimson CD covers. She did the cover for one of my favourite album, The Power to Believe.
Man, what’s a year it’s been!
I won’t bother you with the oft related highs and lows of 2013, you’ve read all about it here, but it’s difficult not to look back and be amazed at the generous response to the S13 graphic novel related Kickstarter campaign. It appears that there’s only a 13% success rate in this price bracket. I may have hesitated if I’d known that beforehand.
Man, this week has been one hell of a whirlwind!
A Kickstarter campaign is a LOT of work, guys, and not everything can be foreseen even if you have prepared well in advance. Crowdfunding is a new way of doing things and it’s a learning process for everybody; there are a lot of adjustments to be made on the fly and there are those “D’Oh!” moments.

As a quick addendum to our previous post, here’s a short Henry Rollins video that Trey has dug out.
Specimen13 is gearing up to record some brand new music this summer and a much smoother ride is expected. It used to be kinda bumpy…
THAT WAS THEN…
You know what they say about Fast, Cheap and Great? That you can only pick two. You’ve guessed it, as independents, we don’t have any money and since we want to create something great, it won’t be as fast as we’d hope.
Now, Specimen13 really starts the year with a bang.
After so many eventful weeks and some nice reviews of the Echosystem EP (HERE’s one in german), it’s now time to tell you about the first Specimen13 Metal Box. It has been available for a little while now, but we never got around talking about it in this blog.
