This opening page was, quite surprisingly, real easy to do. After the design stage, I never know how long a Photoshop illustration will take me.

The way I do Photoshop illustration is like a collage, but with a twist. Combining drawing, textures, photos and type is done quite organically, almost as an improvisation. The different layers, superposed in transparency and / or with colour filtering is quite unpredictable and the results are only guided by the muse.

Here a previous version that I quite like as well.

I let my self react to what different combination of colour and texture gives me with only a vague idea of a design sketched out.
