Maelstrom 1 p21

Last page that needed to be reworked for the new version of the script. If you go back, you will see many panels being redistributed throughout the whole scene. I’d say that about 50% of it was modified of redrawn.

Starting with what was the original version, you can see at the right the thumbnail sketches for the new version. Right away, it’s easy to see it may have been too busy with dialogues…

To correctly pose the characters, you have to be ready to draw more than what we’ll ultimately see on the page. A lot of it finishes out of the frame. The perspective is still a little iffy, but it could have been much worse. 😉

And seeing this, I’m telling myself to pay more attention to the costume model sheets I made for reference…
